Richmond Primary's Admissions Process
We are thrilled you're interested in Richmond Primary School! Choosing a school is a big decision. Our admissions process is designed to help us get to know your child while giving your family the opportunity to experience the RPS community.
Open Enrollment for the 2027-2028 school year begins in October
1. Explore RPS
Start by getting to know Richmond Primary School! Join us for an Open House or schedule a personal tour through our Events page. Come see our classrooms, meet our teachers, and experience the Pathfinder community for yourself.
2. Apply
Ready to take the next step? Submit your application, application fee, and required forms, including the Student Records Request, Teacher Recommendation, and Wechsler assessment (WPPSI or WISC).
3. Let Us Get to Know Your Child
We believe the best way to determine if RPS is the right fit is to get to know your child. Students in grades JK–5 participate in a Shadow Day in the classroom, along with a grade-level readiness assessment.
4. Become a Pathfinder!
Once the admissions process is complete, families will receive an enrollment decision. Offer letters are extended beginning in February, with additional offers made on a rolling basis as space is available.

Should we be blessed enough to reach capacity in our classes, we will begin a waitlist for interested families. These families will be the first notified of open positions.
