Job Title: Elementary Music Teacher
Schedule: One day per week, 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM; specific day TBD

Position Summary:
Richmond Primary School is seeking a passionate and creative
Elementary Music Teacher to deliver engaging music instruction to students ages three through fifth grade. This part-time position is one day per week and provides an excellent opportunity for a music educator looking to inspire young learners through singing, instruments, rhythm, and creative movement.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach developmentally appropriate music lessons for elementary students
  • Introduce students to basic music theory, rhythm, instruments, and vocal techniques
  • Foster a love and appreciation for music through interactive and inclusive activities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to support school-wide events or performances
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
  • Prepare materials and manage classroom setup and cleanup

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Valid teaching certification (preferred, but not required depending on school requirements)
  • Prior experience teaching music to children is strongly preferred
  • Ability to play an instrument (piano, guitar, or other accompaniment) is a plus
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Background check required

Job: After School Program Coordinator
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Position Summary:
Richmond Primary School is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and organized
After School Program Coordinator to lead and manage our after-school programming for students. This role is ideal for someone passionate about youth development, education, and creating a safe, engaging environment for children after school hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and implement daily after-school activities that are fun, educational, and developmentally appropriate
  • Supervise students to ensure a safe and positive environment
  • Lead staff or volunteers and provide guidance as needed
  • Maintain accurate attendance and incident records
  • Communicate effectively with parents, school personnel, and organization leadership
  • Manage supplies and coordinate snacks or materials as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education, child development, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Background check required

Substitute Teacher 2025-2026 Academic Year)

  • Primary Hours: 8:00 AM-2:45 PM
  • Required Qualifications: High school diploma; minimum age of 18; previous childcare experience
  • Duties: Follow lesson plans created by the classroom teacher and alongside the designated classroom schedule. Ensures classroom management; prepare documentation for teacher; performs other duties as assigned by Richmond Primary School.
